Do I need to book tickets?
Yes. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, you need to book tickets prior to your visit. You can book tickets here.

What animals are at the zoo?

Where is the zoo?
Fife Zoo is located just 3 miles from Ladybank in Fife, on the B937. For a full list of directions please click here.
Is the zoo wheelchair / pushchair friendly?
Yes. All of our paths are wheelchair & pushchair friendly.
How big is the zoo?
Currently there is around an acre of the zoo open to the public. Click here to see the animals at the zoo.
Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately we don’t allow dogs into the zoo. If you have an assistance dog, please call us on 01337 258214 prior to your visit. As we care for the welfare of your pets we ask you not to leave your dog in your car. The Scottish SPCA / Police will be called in instances of perceived suffering. We do welcome dogs on the covered decking outside Africafé (outside of the zoo).

Are the toilets open?
Yes. Please follow social distancing and wear a mask when using the toilet facilities.
Do I need to wear a mask / face covering?
When exploring the outdoor areas of the zoo you do not need to wear a mask. When using the toilets you MUST wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing.
Is the restaurant open?
Not yet. The restaurant will reopen in May when hospitality and catering is allowed to reopen in Scotland. We are only serving take-away hot and cold drinks and snacks from out ticket booth kiosk at the moment.
Is the gift shop open?
Not yet. The gift shop will reopen on 26th April 2021 when non-essential retail is allowed to open in Scotland. You can shop online here.
Is the outdoor playground open?
Yes. Please follow social distancing and hand sanitising facilities when using the play areas.
Can I book an Animal Encounter?
Unfortunately not. We still do not have a date for the relaunch of our Animal Encounters. We have/are extending vouchers for 1 year from the date of relaunch. You can find out more information about out Animal Encounters here.
